- Brenda and James are amazing hosts, super knowledgeable, helpful and always ready to give a lift to the national park or the airport - Price is very good! I also was off-season and had the whole room and bathroom only for myself - There is an opportunity to order a small breakfast - There is WiFi in Marriott across the bridge but I never tried it

Wonderful history and beautiful nature. The staff are also really friendly so we learned a lot about the area. They offer a shuttle service back and forth from the park (for a small fee), which is much needed. There is so much culture and history here, and lots to be learned from the hosts. Also, good restaurant across the street. You can book any tours directly with them. Wonderful experience.

Brenda is also an excellent guide and very patient. She taught us so much about all of Mulu, from the people, to the nature, to the wildlife. You can tell they really care about Mulu. If you are looking for a unique experience in Mulu, this is the place.

Lovely staff! The lady of the house was waiting for us at the airport, that was a super nice surprise!! Also she guided us through some of the caves and helped us plan our days in Mulu. Would definitely recommend!

Brenda and James are just lovely people, who made us welcome from the first moment. They explained us everything as soon as they picked us up from the airport. They provide some drinks, food and snacks on a trust-based system. Brenda is a guide for the park as well so we booked a cave-tour with her, which was amazing. This longboat-trip already started right in front of the the homestay. The rooms and bathroom are really basic, but you're in the jungle so dont need more. We definitely enjoyed the time there!

As stated on the internet, the facilities were basic. However, the beautiful surroundings, the hospitable owners and the opportunity to stay in an authentic longhouse more than made up for the lack of electricity during the day. The hosts offered my family some wonderful trips and were always available to take us to the national park's entrance. I would highly recommend this guest house.

Great location, exactly as advertised. Not very comfortable given no a/c and electricity only from 6 pm to midnight, but that was all expected, so no complaints. The amazing feature is the fabulous service provided by James - he drove us to and from the airport and to and from the park entrance every day - and sometimes more than once per day, all for a nominal charge. He also took us straight from the airport to the park on our arrival in Mulu to make sure we were signed up for park admission and all the guided tours we wanted before they sold out.

Quite basic accommodation close to Marriott hotel. Room was large (4 beds, we were only 2) and clean a well as the bathroom. There is no AC but a fan on the wall and it can get very hot during the day. The host was helpful and explained us everything. The accommodation is NOT within a walking distance to the park - unless you like to walk a lot. There is an option to get dropped whenever you need for 5 MYR per person per way, so it can make the stay more expensive. Overall we enjoyed our time.
