Kish was a wonderful, endearing host and assisted with transfers, answering cultural questions and was available for any need. The room was very clean, appropriately priced, had our own bathroom with sink, toilet and shower, A/C, and a great location close to everything in Hampi. I really enjoyed staying here, felt very safe. Hampi is alcohol-free location which allows that majestic, magical energy to persist and not be thwarted by drunk tourists. Thilak homestay is an excellent choice in Hampi- thank you so much, Kish!

Exceptionally well run — the owner manages everything keeping guest comfort a priority. Kish made himself available for questions, requests, arrangements. He is very well-connected in the community. Rooms were clean and bright- new towels and comforter for the bed.

For people who like to stay amidst the localites & close to a lot of sight seeing spots, this is perfect. The host Kishore was really helpful with addressing any queries that we had and also arranged for a pick up from the bus stand. Uday, who was the auto driver picking us up, was our tour guide as well. He is truly a gem, who explained the historical significance of every place we visited with utmost patience, making the sight seeing experience completely worth the money. He was gracious enough to recommend popular eateries that served exclusive Hampi special lip smacking dishes and left us wanting to come back there everyday. Not only that, he went above and beyond to take us to certain other spots that were not in our itinerary, upon our insistence.

Rooms were compact, but having a good sized bed, a bedside drawer, enough hooks and charging points in the room, fan, ac, 2 lights, and a mirror at the headside of the bed. The adjacent bathroom was very spacious, and clean too, with hot and cold water both available. Location wise, it is great, right at the heart of Hampi Bazaar, and Virupaksha Temple as well as Tungabhadra River bank being just 5 minutes walk from there. Breakfast - It does not have an in-house restaurant, but there are plenty of restaurants around, in that locality, in walkable distance (1 or 2 minutes) where you can go and have breakfast, lunch, dinner. Mango Tree was the best among those.

Brilliantly located homestay in Hampi, and Kish is a very helpful host. He organised transfers for us to and from Hosapete train station, and also gave us advice on places to eat etc. The homestay room was very comfortable, good bathroom etc. It wasn't a huge room, but we knew that in advance from the pictures :)

The super-host Kishor is the owner himself. He is very courteous and welcoming. When you make a booking, you receive a welcome message which is a ready reckoner and gives you a lay of the land. The location is a few metres from the Virupaksha Temple. We saw linen being changed, washed after every stay. It's in close proximity to the market and the most popular cafes/restaurants/tiffin rooms.
